Carpet cleaner powers on but the suction motor does not run; brushes may still spin.

Safety: Unplug the machine and empty both tanks before opening the base.

• 1. Listen for relay click: Turn the unit on and off while listening closely. A click without motor operation suggests a failed suction motor.
• 2. Inspect wiring: Remove the side or bottom cover to access the motor. Check the motor harness for loose or burnt connectors. Reseat all plugs.
• 3. Check for water damage: Look for signs of water intrusion around the motor housing. If water has entered, the motor is unsafe and must be replaced.
• 4. Replace motor: If the motor windings are open or the motor is seized, replace the complete suction motor assembly. Transfer any rubber mounts or gaskets from the old motor.
• 5. Control board: If a known-good motor does not run, the main control board or motor relay is likely defective and should be replaced.
