Possible Causes
Clogged lint screen or filters, Blocked air vents, Overfilled dirty water tank, Failing motor drawing excess current
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and let it cool for at least 30 minutes before inspection.
- 1. Empty dirty tank: Ensure the dirty water tank is not full and the float is not stuck in the up position.
- 2. Clean lint screen and filters: Remove and rinse the lint screen and any foam or mesh filters. Allow them to dry completely.
- 3. Clear airflow paths: Check the nozzle, hose, and exhaust vents for blockages. Remove any debris.
- 4. Ventilation: Make sure the machine is used in a well-ventilated area and not pressed tightly against furniture that blocks vents.
- 5. Motor health: If shutdowns continue despite good airflow, the suction motor may be failing and tripping its internal thermal protector. Replace the motor assembly.
