Cracked dirty water tank, Damaged tank lid gasket, Misaligned tank, Clogged or damaged tank outlet seal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and wear gloves when handling dirty water.
- 1. Remove and inspect tank: Take out the dirty water tank / recovery tank and check for cracks or warping, especially at the corners and handle area.
- 2. Check lid and gasket: Inspect the tank lid gasket for tears, flattening, or missing sections. Replace the gasket or lid if it does not seal evenly.
- 3. Clean outlet and seals: Rinse the tank outlet and any rubber outlet seals or grommets. Remove hair and debris that could prevent sealing.
- 4. Reinstall correctly: Ensure the tank is fully seated and latched. Many leaks are due to the tank not being pushed down all the way.
- 5. Replace tank: If the tank body is cracked or warped, replace the entire dirty water tank assembly.
