Carpet cleaner leaves a musty or moldy smell during use

Safety first: Unplug the unit and wear gloves when handling dirty water or moldy components.

• 1. Deep clean tanks
  • Empty and wash both clean and dirty water tanks with warm soapy water.
  • Rinse with a mild disinfectant solution safe for plastics, then rinse again with clean water.
• 2. Flush hoses
  • Fill the clean tank with warm water and a small amount of approved cleaner.
  • Run the unit briefly to flush solution and suction hoses, then empty the dirty tank.
• 3. Clean brush roll and nozzle
  • Remove the brush roll and wash it thoroughly; allow it to dry completely.
  • Wipe the nozzle and underside of the machine.
• 4. Dry thoroughly before storage
  • Leave tanks and covers open to air dry.
  • Store the machine in a dry, ventilated area.
