Carpet cleaner makes loud rattling or grinding noise during operation

Safety first: Unplug the machine immediately if abnormal noise occurs.

• 1. Inspect brush area
  • Remove the brush access cover and brush roll.
  • Look for coins, stones, or hard objects trapped in the housing.
  • Check brush bearings for play or roughness; replace the brush roll if worn.
• 2. Check brush motor
  • Spin the brush motor shaft by hand; it should turn smoothly without grinding.
  • If noisy, replace the brush motor assembly.
• 3. Inspect suction motor fan
  • Access the suction motor compartment.
  • Check that the plastic or metal fan impeller is secure on the shaft and not rubbing the housing.
  • If the impeller is cracked or loose, replace the motor or fan as a unit.
