Carpet cleaner shuts off when moved over thick rugs but runs on hard floors

Possible Causes

Brush height too low, Blocked airflow under nozzle, Overly thick pile causing motor strain, Sensitive overload sensor

Safety first: Unplug the unit before adjusting mechanical settings.

1. Adjust height
- Set the cleaning head to a higher position for thick rugs.
2. Reduce suction (if adjustable)
- Use any suction control or vent to reduce drag on thick pile.
3. Clean nozzle edges
- Ensure the nozzle edges are smooth and not catching on fibers.
4. Avoid very deep pile
- For extremely thick or shag rugs, consider using an upholstery tool instead of the main floor nozzle.
