Possible Causes
Cracked solution hose, Loose hose clamp, Damaged pump housing, Faulty tank seal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the carpet cleaner and do not operate it while leaking. Water inside the unit can cause electric shock.
- 1. Remove tanks and dry exterior
- Take out the clean and dirty water tanks.
- Wipe the exterior dry so you can identify new leaks.
- 2. Inspect tank seals
- Check the clean water tank cap, valve, and perimeter seals for cracks or deformation.
- Replace any damaged gaskets or caps with Bosch-compatible parts.
- 3. Check internal hoses
- Remove the side or bottom covers to access internal solution hoses.
- Fill the clean water tank and reinstall it.
- Without powering the unit, observe for drips from hose joints, clamps, or the pump body.
- Tighten clamps and replace cracked hoses.
- 4. Inspect leak sensor tray
- Many Bosch wet appliances have a leak tray with a float or conductivity sensor.
- Dry the tray completely and ensure the float moves freely.
- If the sensor is corroded, replace the leak sensor assembly.
- 5. Test carefully
- Reassemble, add a small amount of water, and briefly power on while monitoring for leaks.
- If leaks persist from the pump housing or internal manifolds, stop use and have a technician replace the affected components.
