Possible Causes
Faulty trigger microswitch, Broken trigger lever, Damaged trigger wiring, Misaligned handle PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the carpet cleaner before working on the handle or trigger assembly.
- 1. Inspect trigger mechanism
- Examine the handle trigger for cracks or loss of spring tension.
- Ensure it fully returns when released.
- 2. Access trigger switch
- Remove the handle cover screws to expose the trigger microswitch and wiring.
- Check that the trigger physically actuates the switch button.
- 3. Test microswitch
- Disconnect the switch and test with a multimeter in continuity mode.
- Continuity should change when the trigger is pulled and released.
- If not, replace the Bosch trigger switch.
- 4. Inspect wiring to main PCB
- Follow the trigger harness down the handle to the main body.
- Look for pinched or broken wires, especially at pivot points.
- Repair or replace the harness if damaged.
- 5. Reassemble and test
- Reassemble the handle, ensuring no wires are trapped.
- Plug in and test; if E11 persists, the input circuit on the main PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
