How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug immediately; a stalled motor can overheat and cause fire.
- 1. Identify humming source
- With the unit unplugged, open the housing and locate the motor or pump that may be jammed.
- 2. Check for obstructions
- Inspect the suction motor fan and pump impeller for debris.
- Remove any foreign objects carefully.
- 3. Test rotation
- Try turning the motor or pump shaft by hand; it should rotate smoothly.
- If seized, replace the affected component.
- 4. PCB and indicator repair
- If motors run after clearing jams but lights remain off, the indicator circuit on the PCB may be damaged and require replacement.
