How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before inspecting the tank area.
- Inspect tank tabs: Look at the underside and back of the dirty water tank for small plastic tabs or protrusions that press a switch when installed. If broken, the tank may not register as present and the tank must be replaced.
- Locate presence switch: Find the small switch or sensor in the base where the tank sits. Press it manually to ensure it moves freely and clicks.
- Clean the area: Remove any dried detergent or debris that may prevent the tank from seating fully.
- Test the switch: Use a multimeter to check continuity when the switch is pressed. Replace the switch if it does not change state.
- Check wiring: Ensure the switch wires are intact and firmly connected to the main board.
