Poor Extraction / Inadequate Suction at Tool
Carpets remain very wet after multiple passes
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Blocked extraction nozzle, Worn squeegee lips on floor tool, Low suction due to leaks, Incorrect technique
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug before cleaning tools.
- Clean extraction nozzle: Remove the floor tool and clear any lint or hair from the suction slot.
- Inspect squeegee lips: Check the rubber blades on the floor tool. If hardened, cracked, or warped, replace the floor tool squeegee strip.
- Check suction: Test suction directly at the hose end. If strong there but weak at the tool, the tool is restricted or leaking.
- Use correct technique: Make slow, overlapping passes and avoid over-wetting by limiting solution application.
