Possible Causes

Failed suction motor, Faulty vacuum mode rocker switch, Loose motor wiring connector, Burnt motor brushes

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the machine before opening the casing.

  • Check mode selection: Ensure the selector is set correctly to vacuum mode and that the vacuum rocker switch is fully engaged.
  • Inspect wiring to suction motor: Remove the top cover and locate the main suction motor. Check spade connectors and wiring harness for loose or burnt terminals. Reseat any loose connectors.
  • Test the vacuum rocker switch: With a multimeter, verify continuity when the switch is ON. Replace the vacuum rocker switch if faulty.
  • Inspect motor brushes: On brushed motors, remove the brush holders and check carbon brush length. If they are worn short or uneven, replace the suction motor carbon brushes. If the armature is burnt or motor is seized, replace the complete suction motor assembly.

Do not run the motor with covers removed unless you are trained and using proper insulation and PPE.
