Float Valve / Level Sensor Malfunction
Float / full tank indicator triggers prematurely, suction stops even when recovery tank is not full

Possible Causes
Stuck float valve in recovery tank, Debris around float cage, Misaligned tank lid seal, Faulty level sensor (if fitted)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the machine before removing tanks.
- Inspect recovery tank: Remove the dirty water (recovery) tank. Locate the float valve assembly (usually a plastic float in a cage).
- Clean float and cage: Rinse thoroughly to remove hair, lint, and detergent residue that may cause sticking. Ensure the float moves freely up and down.
- Check tank lid seal: Inspect the gasket between the tank and the main body. A misaligned or damaged seal can cause incorrect airflow and premature float lift. Reseat or replace the recovery tank lid seal.
- Reassemble and test: Refit the tank carefully, ensuring it is fully seated. Test with a small amount of water.
- If electronic sensor is fitted: Inspect the wiring to the tank level sensor and clean any scale or residue from the sensor body.
