Possible Causes
Clogged suction hose, Blocked floor nozzle, Dirty or saturated filters, Air leak at dirty tank gasket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before disassembling hoses or nozzles.
- Empty and clean dirty tank: Remove the recovery tank, empty it, and rinse thoroughly. Ensure the float moves freely.
- Clean filters: Remove any foam or mesh filters at the tank outlet or motor inlet. Wash with warm water and mild detergent, then dry completely.
- Check for blockages: Detach the hose and wand (if equipped). Look through them and the floor nozzle for clogs. Use a flexible brush or a straightened coat hanger (carefully) to remove debris.
- Inspect gaskets and seals: Examine the dirty tank lid gasket and any sealing surfaces. Replace worn or cracked gaskets to prevent air leaks.
- Test suction at the inlet: With the tank installed, turn on the unit and feel suction at the hose inlet. If strong there but weak at the floor nozzle, the blockage is in the nozzle assembly.
