Possible Causes

Misaligned clean water tank, Misaligned dirty water tank, Faulty tank presence microswitch, Broken tank tab that actuates switch

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit before inspecting switches or internal components.

  • Reseat both tanks: Remove the clean and dirty water tanks. Inspect for cracks or deformed edges. Reinstall them firmly until you hear or feel a click.
  • Inspect tank actuators: Look for small plastic tabs or protrusions on the tanks that press internal switches. If broken, the tank may not register as installed and must be replaced.
  • Check tank switches: Access the area behind the tank mounts and locate the microswitches. Press them manually and listen for a click. Test continuity with a multimeter; replace any switch that does not change state.
  • Clean contact areas: Remove any detergent residue or debris that may prevent the tank from seating fully.

If E10 persists with good tanks and switches, the wiring harness or PCB input circuit may be faulty.
