Hoover carpet cleaner leaves carpets very wet, not extracting enough water

Safety first: Unplug before removing the nozzle or tanks.

• Inspect nozzle: Remove the nozzle assembly and check for cracks, warping, or missing rubber lips. Replace if damaged.
• Check seals: Inspect the dirty water tank gasket and any seals between the tank and base. Replace flattened or torn seals.
• Clean air path: Clear any debris from the suction channel, hose, and lint screen.
• Use proper technique: Make slow, overlapping passes with the trigger released to maximize extraction. If performance is still poor, the suction motor may be weakening and need replacement.
