Hoover carpet cleaner solution is not mixing correctly, either too strong or only water

Safety first: Unplug the unit and remove the solution tank.

• Check detergent tank: Ensure the solution tank is filled and properly seated. Inspect the outlet valve and cap for blockages.
• Clean siphon tube: Remove and rinse the detergent siphon tube and any small filters or screens.
• Inspect mixing valve: Locate the detergent mixing valve or selector (e.g., RINSE/WASH). Move it through all positions several times to free any sticking. Clean external buildup.
• Test with water only: Run the unit with plain water to flush the system, then reintroduce detergent at the recommended ratio.
