Possible Causes
Worn suction motor bearings, Debris in suction fan, Worn brush roll bearings, Loose or vibrating housing panels
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the Husqvarna carpet cleaner. Do not run it if grinding noises persist, as further damage may occur.
- Isolate noise source: Run the unit briefly (plugged in) with brush off (if selectable) to determine if noise is from suction motor or brush. Then unplug again.
- Inspect brush roll: Remove the brush and spin it by hand. Replace the Husqvarna brush roll if it feels rough or wobbly.
- Check for debris in fan: Access the suction motor intake and inspect for foreign objects in the fan. Remove any debris carefully.
- Tighten housings: Check all screws on the nozzle, handle, and body. Tighten any loose fasteners that may cause rattling.
- Motor replacement: If the suction motor bearings are noisy or there is play in the shaft, replace the suction motor assembly.
