Carpet cleaner leaves a musty or foul odor during and after use

Safety: Unplug the Husqvarna carpet cleaner. Use gloves when handling dirty water and mold.

• Deep clean tanks: Wash the clean and recovery tanks with hot water and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry.
• Sanitize hoses and nozzle: Run a solution of warm water and a small amount of white vinegar through the solution system, then flush with clean water. Wipe the suction nozzle and hose interior where accessible.
• Clean or replace filters: Wash foam filters and replace any paper or HEPA filters that smell musty.
• Dry after use: Leave tanks and lids off the unit after cleaning so they can air dry, reducing odor buildup.
