Possible Causes
Shorted suction motor, Damaged power cord, Water ingress into electrical compartment, Shorted heater element (if equipped)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not repeatedly reset the breaker. Unplug the Husqvarna carpet cleaner and keep it unplugged until the fault is found.
- Inspect power cord: Check for cuts, crushed sections, or exposed conductors. Replace the Husqvarna power cord if damaged.
- Check for moisture: Look inside the housing for signs of water leaks near the motor, heater, or PCB. Dry thoroughly and repair any leaks before reuse.
- Isolate components: With the unit unplugged, disconnect the suction motor, heater, and pump one at a time. Then plug in and switch on (with covers reinstalled) to see if the breaker still trips. The component that, when connected, causes tripping is likely shorted and must be replaced.
- Professional service: If you are not experienced with electrical testing, have a qualified technician perform insulation resistance and continuity tests.
