Possible Causes
Stuck float in recovery tank, Faulty float switch or level sensor, Blocked air path causing false full-tank reading, Damaged sensor wiring harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the Husqvarna carpet cleaner before opening tanks.
- Empty and clean recovery tank: Remove the dirty water (recovery) tank and empty it completely. Rinse with warm water to remove foam and debris that may interfere with the float.
- Inspect float mechanism: Inside the Husqvarna recovery tank, locate the float or float cage. Ensure it moves freely up and down. Clean any hair, lint, or sludge that may cause sticking.
- Check tank seals: Inspect the tank lid gasket and seating surfaces. Air leaks can cause abnormal suction and sensor behavior. Replace worn or torn gaskets.
- Test float switch / sensor: If your model uses an electrical float switch, access it from the tank lid or base. Use a multimeter to check continuity while moving the float. Replace the float switch or level sensor if readings are inconsistent.
- Inspect wiring: Follow the sensor harness back to the main board. Look for pinched wires or loose connectors. Reseat all plugs firmly.
