Possible Causes
Blocked air intake or exhaust, Overloaded brush on thick carpet, Failing suction or brush motor drawing excess current, Faulty temperature sensor on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug immediately if you smell burning. Do not continue to operate until inspected.
- Clear airflow paths: Check all Husqvarna intake grilles, filters, and exhaust vents for lint and dust. Clean or replace filters as specified in the manual.
- Reduce load: On very thick or high-pile carpet, lower the brush pressure if adjustable, or move the cleaner more slowly to reduce motor strain.
- Inspect motors: Access the brush and suction motors. Check for discoloration, melted insulation, or excessive heat. If a motor smells burnt or shows visible damage, replace it.
- Check temperature sensor: Some models use a thermistor on the motor or PCB. Ensure it is firmly attached and wiring is intact. Replace the sensor if readings are out of range (requires service data).
