Possible Causes
Faulty optical or float-type solution level sensor, Mineral buildup on sensor window, Disconnected sensor harness, Failed sensor input on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the Husqvarna carpet cleaner and remove the solution tank.
- Clean sensor area: If your model uses an optical sensor in the tank cavity, wipe the sensor window with a soft cloth and warm water to remove detergent film.
- Check float sensor: For float-type sensors, ensure the float moves freely and is not waterlogged. Replace the float or sensor assembly if it sticks.
- Inspect wiring: Verify that the sensor connector is fully seated on the main board and that the harness is not damaged.
- Board diagnosis: If a known-good sensor still triggers E12, the main PCB sensor input may be defective and require replacement.
