Possible Causes
Jammed brush height actuator, Failed height adjustment motor, Broken position sensor, Misaligned brush deck linkage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the Husqvarna carpet cleaner before working near the brush deck.
- Inspect brush deck movement: Manually move the brush deck through its height range (if possible). Remove debris or carpet fibers that may jam the mechanism.
- Check actuator: Locate the height adjustment motor/actuator. Inspect for physical damage and ensure mounting screws are tight.
- Test actuator motor: Disconnect the actuator and measure coil resistance. Apply low test voltage per service manual if available. Replace if non-functional.
- Verify position sensor: Some actuators use a potentiometer or limit switches. Test continuity and replace the sensor if readings are erratic.
