Possible Causes
Stretched or slipping drive belt, Worn brush motor, Excessive brush height, Debris in brush end caps
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine before working on the brush head.
- Clean brush ends: Remove the brush roller and clean hair and fibers from the end caps and bearings.
- Inspect belt tension: Check the drive belt for glazing or stretching. If it slips easily on the pulleys, replace it.
- Adjust brush height (if adjustable): Set the brush height adjustment to a higher setting to reduce load on thick carpets.
- Check motor torque: If the belt and brush are good but the brush still stalls easily, the brush motor may be weak and require replacement.
