How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and remove both tanks.
- Clean dirty water tank: Wash the dirty water tank with warm water and mild detergent. Scrub all surfaces and rinse thoroughly.
- Disinfect hoses and nozzle: Run a solution of warm water and a small amount of Kärcher-approved disinfectant through the solution lines and floor nozzle. Then flush with clean water.
- Clean or replace filters: Remove the motor protection filter and any foam filters. Wash or replace if they smell musty.
- Dry after use: After each use, empty tanks, run the vacuum for a short time to dry internal passages, and store the unit with tanks removed to allow ventilation.
