Possible Causes

Blocked suction path, Clogged motor protection filter, Failing vacuum motor bearings, Faulty motor current sensor on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect from mains and remove tanks before inspection.

  • Clear suction path: Detach the suction hose, floor nozzle, and wands. Check for clogs and remove any obstructions.
  • Clean filters: Remove the foam motor protection filter and any pre-filters. Wash with mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and allow to dry completely before refitting.
  • Inspect vacuum motor: Access the vacuum motor compartment. Check for signs of overheating (discoloration, smell). Spin the fan by hand; roughness or grinding indicates worn bearings and the motor should be replaced.
  • Reset and test: After cleaning and reassembly, allow the unit to cool for 30 minutes, then test. If E11 recurs quickly, the motor may be drawing excessive current and require replacement.
