Possible Causes
Misaligned tank, Faulty tank presence microswitch, Damaged magnetic level sensor, Broken wiring to tank sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine before adjusting tank or switches.
- Reseat tank: Remove and firmly reinstall the fresh water tank, ensuring it clicks into place and the bottom valve opens.
- Check tank presence switch: Locate the tank presence microswitch in the tank bay. Press it manually to confirm it clicks. If it feels loose or does not click, adjust or replace.
- Inspect magnet/float: Some models use a magnet in the tank and a reed switch in the housing. Verify the magnet is still attached to the tank float and not corroded.
- Check wiring: Follow the sensor wires to the control PCB, looking for damage or loose connectors. Repair as needed.
