Possible Causes
Stuck float in dirty water tank, Faulty level reed switch, Contaminated level electrodes, Damaged level sensor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and remove the dirty water tank.
- Clean the tank and float: Empty the dirty water tank completely. Rinse with warm water and mild detergent. Ensure the internal float moves freely and is not coated with foam or residue.
- Inspect level sensor: Depending on model, check the reed switch or electrode contacts in the tank or tank housing. Clean any scale or detergent buildup.
- Check seating: Reinstall the tank, ensuring it is fully pushed into place and the lid is correctly closed. Misalignment can trigger a false full-tank signal.
- Inspect wiring: If accessible, follow the level sensor wires to the control PCB. Look for pinched or broken wires and repair as needed.
- Test operation: Run the unit with clean water to confirm the error is cleared. If E7 persists, the level sensor assembly may require replacement.
