Possible Causes
Clogged Kobold motor protection filter, Blocked hose or wand, Obstruction in floor nozzle throat, Poor seal at dirty water tank or gasket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off and unplug the unit before disassembly.
- Empty tanks: Empty and rinse both clean and dirty water tanks. Ensure the dirty tank lid is correctly fitted and seals properly.
- Clean filters: Remove the motor protection filter and any pre-filters. Tap out dust, then rinse washable filters and let them dry fully before refitting.
- Check hose and wand: Detach the hose and wand. Drop a small object (like a coin) through to confirm it passes freely, or use a flexible rod to push out blockages.
- Inspect floor nozzle: Look into the nozzle throat and side channels for clumps of hair, carpet fibers, or small objects. Remove debris carefully.
- Check seals: Inspect the rubber gasket where the dirty water tank meets the body. Replace if cracked or deformed.
