Possible Causes
Severely blocked brush or suction path, Shorted motor windings, Failing motor bearings causing high load, Faulty current sensing circuit on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the machine immediately when E09 appears.
- Clear blockages: Remove tanks, hose, and floor head. Inspect and clear any heavy debris from the suction channel, brush housing, and hose.
- Check brush roller: Remove the bottom plate and free the brush roller from hair and threads. Ensure it spins freely by hand.
- Listen for motor issues: After clearing obstructions and allowing the unit to cool, plug it in and briefly run it. If the motor is unusually loud, grinding, or sparking, it may be failing and drawing excess current.
- Repeat test: If E09 reappears quickly with no blockages, discontinue use. The motor or control PCB current sensor may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
