How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before inspecting cables and connectors.
- Inspect cable: Check the flexible cable between the base and handle for cuts, crushing, or kinks. If damaged, replace the entire cable harness.
- Clean contacts: If your Kobold model uses docking contacts, clean them gently with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.
- Reseat connectors: Open the handle and base housings to access the communication connectors. Unplug and replug them to ensure a solid connection.
If E15 persists, one of the PCBs may have a failed communication chip and will need replacement.
