How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Stop using the unit immediately, unplug it, and allow it to cool. Overheating in the handle can be a fire risk.
- Inspect cable and connectors: Check for discoloration, melting, or burn marks on the handle cable and connectors. Replace any damaged parts.
- Tighten connections: Open the handle housing and ensure all screw terminals and connectors are tight.
- Check for pinched wires: Look for insulation damage where the cable passes through the handle or wand. Replace the cable harness if any copper is exposed.
If overheating persists after repairs, have the unit inspected by an authorized Kobold technician.
