Possible Causes

Dirty water tank overfilled beyond max line, Missing or misfitted tank baffle, Damaged float shutoff system, Excessive foam from detergent

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off and unplug the unit immediately to prevent motor damage.

  • Empty dirty tank: Remove and empty the dirty water tank. Rinse thoroughly to remove foam and residue.
  • Check baffles and float: Ensure all internal baffles and the float shutoff device are present and correctly installed. Replace any missing or damaged components.
  • Reduce foam: Use only Kobold-approved detergents at the recommended dilution. If foam persists, add a small amount of defoamer to the dirty tank as per instructions.
  • Dry motor area: Allow the unit to dry in a warm, ventilated area for at least 24 hours. If large amounts of water entered the motor, the motor may need replacement.
