Possible Causes
Empty clean water tank, Blocked inlet filter on clean water tank, Airlock in solution line, Failed diaphragm pump or pump coil open-circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before removing tanks or hoses.
- Check clean water tank: Remove the clean water tank, fill it with warm (not hot) water and solution to the indicated level, and ensure the cap and valve are fitted correctly.
- Clean tank inlet filter: Inspect the small mesh filter at the tank outlet or in the base where the tank sits. Rinse under running water and remove any lint or scale.
- Bleed air from the line: Refit the tank, then with the unit powered on and in a safe area, hold the trigger for 30–60 seconds to allow the solution pump to prime. Tilt the machine slightly backward to help air escape from the line.
- Check spray nozzles: Remove the spray bar/nozzle assembly from the floor head. Soak in warm water with a little descaler if you see white scale deposits. Use a soft brush or toothpick to clear each jet.
- Test pump operation: If you can access the pump, feel it while pressing the trigger. If it is silent and you have power at its terminals (requires multimeter), the diaphragm pump is likely faulty and should be replaced.
Do not run the pump dry for long periods; it can overheat and fail.
