Possible Causes

Faulty trigger microswitch in handle, Broken trigger lever, Damaged ribbon cable or harness between handle and main body, Faulty user interface PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the appliance before opening the handle or control panel.

  • Inspect trigger mechanism: Open the handle housing to access the trigger. Check that the plastic trigger lever is not cracked and that it fully depresses the microswitch.
  • Test microswitch: Use a multimeter in continuity mode across the switch terminals. Press the trigger; the meter should beep. If not, replace the microswitch.
  • Check wiring harness: Follow the handle wiring loom down to the main body. Look for pinched or broken wires, especially where the handle folds or pivots.
  • Inspect UI PCB: If the trigger and wiring are good, the user interface PCB may not be sending the signal to the main control board. Look for corrosion or damage; replace the board if necessary.

After repair, reassemble the handle carefully to avoid trapping wires, which can cause repeat failures.
