How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before adjusting tanks or switches.
- Refit tanks carefully: Remove both the clean water tank and dirty water tank. Refit them firmly until you hear or feel a click. Ensure no debris is preventing full seating.
- Inspect tank lugs: Look for small plastic actuator lugs on the tanks that press the interlock switches. If broken, the tank may need replacement.
- Check interlock switches: Locate the tank presence microswitches in the base. Press them manually with a non-metallic tool; you should hear a click. Test continuity with a multimeter; replace any faulty switches.
- Check wiring to switches: Ensure the connectors from the switches to the main PCB are secure and not corroded.
Do not bypass safety interlocks permanently; they prevent operation without tanks and protect the motor from damage.
