Possible Causes
Condensation on main PCB, Water ingress into control panel, Corroded PCB tracks, Damaged rubber seals around control fascia
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cleaner and do not operate it while moisture is present.
- Dry the unit: Move the carpet cleaner to a warm, dry room for 24–48 hours. Remove tanks and open any access panels to improve airflow.
- Inspect control panel: Remove the control fascia and check for signs of water droplets or corrosion on the user interface PCB. Gently dry with a lint-free cloth.
- Clean corrosion: If light corrosion is present, use isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush to clean affected areas. Allow to dry completely.
- Check seals: Inspect the rubber gaskets around buttons and display. Replace if cracked or hardened to prevent future ingress.
If E12 persists or there is heavy corrosion, the main control PCB may need replacement.
