Possible Causes
Shorted pump triac on PCB, Stuck pump relay contacts, Shorted trigger switch wiring, Control PCB logic fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug immediately if the pump will not stop; running dry can cause damage.
- Check trigger switch: Test the trigger microswitch for proper operation. Ensure it opens when the trigger is released.
- Inspect wiring: Look for shorted wires between the trigger and control PCB that could simulate a permanent 'on' signal.
- Test pump control device: On the main control PCB, identify the pump triac or relay. If the pump receives power even with the control signal off, the device is likely shorted and the PCB should be replaced.
Component-level repair of the PCB is not recommended for untrained users; replacing the board is safer.
