Carpet remains overly wet and drying time is very long

Safety first: Unplug the machine before inspecting suction components.

• Adjust technique: Make slower forward passes with solution, then additional dry passes with suction only.
• Check suction shoe: Clean the pickup nozzle and ensure the lips are straight and not worn.
• Inspect seals and hoses: Look for air leaks at hose connections and tank seals. Replace worn Nilfisk gaskets.
• Reduce solution flow: If your model has adjustable flow, set it to a lower level appropriate for the carpet.
