Possible Causes
Undervoltage from mains supply, Faulty internal transformer or SMPS, Loose power harness connections, Failed low‑voltage regulator on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Work only with the machine unplugged. Mains voltage is dangerous.
- Verify mains voltage: Use a multimeter to confirm the wall outlet provides the correct voltage (e.g. 230 V AC in EU, 120 V AC in NA). Avoid using long, undersized extension cords.
- Inspect power entry and harness: Check the power inlet, strain relief, and internal wiring for loose connections or heat damage. Tighten spade connectors and replace burnt terminals.
- Check internal transformer/SMPS: On models with a step‑down transformer or switch‑mode power supply, measure the low‑voltage output (e.g. 12 V or 24 V DC) at the PCB input. If no output, replace the transformer or SMPS module.
- Inspect PCB regulators: Look for burnt components or bulging capacitors on the main PCB. If low‑voltage rails are missing or unstable, replace the main PCB/control module.
- Re‑test: After repairs, clear the error by unplugging for a few minutes, then power up and test each function.
