Machine leaves streaks or lines of dirt on carpet after cleaning

Safety first: Unplug the machine and allow moving parts to stop before inspection.

• Inspect brush: Remove the brush cylinder and check for uneven wear or flattened bristles. Replace the Nilfisk brush cylinder if bristles are worn below specification.
• Clean spray pattern: Remove and clean all spray jets. Verify that each nozzle produces an even fan pattern when tested with water.
• Adjust brush pressure: Set the brush pressure or deck height according to the carpet type as per the user manual.
• Clean suction shoe: Inspect the suction shoe or pickup nozzle for lint or debris buildup that could cause streaks. Clean thoroughly.
