How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine. Work only if you are competent with mains-voltage electronics. Otherwise, seek professional service.
- Check mains lead and plug: Inspect the power cord for cuts or kinks. Check the plug fuse (UK models) and replace only with the correct rating.
- Inspect internal mains connections: Remove the top cover and verify that the mains input block, strain relief, and earth connections are secure.
- Visual PCB inspection: Examine the control PCB for burnt components, cracked solder joints, or bulging capacitors. Any visible damage usually means the board must be replaced.
- Connector check: Reseat all low-voltage connectors from the PCB to switches, sensors, and motors. Oxidised or loose connectors can cause supply errors.
- Do not bypass safety circuits: Never bridge fuses or safety devices to “test” the board. This can create a shock or fire hazard.
- Board replacement: If wiring and supply are correct and E6 persists, replace the main control PCB with the exact Numatic part number for your model.
