Possible Causes
Stuck or misaligned solution tank float, Faulty magnetic reed switch or level sensor, Incorrectly seated solution tank, Damaged sensor wiring to PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine before removing tanks.
- Remove and inspect solution tank: Check that the tank is not warped or cracked and that it seats fully into the base.
- Check float and magnet: If the tank uses a float with a magnet, ensure it moves freely and is not fouled by scale or debris.
- Inspect reed switch or sensor: On the machine body, locate the level sensor (often a small plastic housing). Check for damage and ensure it is firmly mounted.
- Clean contact surfaces: Wipe the tank and sensor area to remove detergent residue that may interfere with sensor operation.
- Check wiring: Follow the sensor wires to the PCB and reseat the connector.
- Test: Refit the tank correctly and test. If E9 persists, the level sensor or PCB input may need replacement.
