Possible Causes
Blocked or partially blocked suction nozzle, Worn or damaged floor tool squeegee lips, Low vacuum motor performance, Air leak in suction hose or joints
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine before inspecting tools and hoses.
- Clean suction nozzle: Remove the floor tool and clear any lint or fibres from the suction slot and internal channels.
- Inspect squeegee lips: Check the rubber lips on the floor tool for wear, nicks, or warping. Replace if they do not make even contact with the carpet.
- Check hose and joints: Ensure all hose connections are tight and that there are no cracks in the hose or tool body.
- Test vacuum strength: With the hose disconnected, feel the suction at the machine inlet. Weak suction may indicate a motor or internal leak issue requiring further diagnosis.
