Possible Causes
Blocked solution jet/nozzle, Kinked or crushed solution hose, Blocked inline solution filter, Airlock in solution line
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine before disconnecting hoses or nozzles. Depressurise by squeezing the trigger with the machine off.
- Check solution level: Ensure the solution tank is filled and correctly seated.
- Inspect hose for kinks: Straighten any sharp bends in the solution hose from the machine to the wand or floor tool.
- Clean spray jets: Remove the spray nozzle(s) from the wand or floor tool. Soak them in warm water and gently clear the orifice with a soft brush or wooden toothpick (never metal).
- Check inline filter: Many Numatic carpet cleaners have a small mesh filter in the solution line or tank outlet. Remove and rinse under running water.
- Bleed air from system: Reassemble, fill the tank, and run the pump with the trigger held open for 30–60 seconds to purge air.
