No suction at the floor tool or wand; motor can be heard running but little or no airflow.

Safety first: Unplug the machine before removing hoses or tools.

• Check recovery tank: Empty the dirty water tank and ensure the lid and seals are correctly fitted.
• Inspect hose: Disconnect the suction hose at both ends. Look through it against a light; use a flexible rod or water flush to clear any blockage.
• Clean floor tool: Remove debris from the pickup slot and internal channels of the floor tool.
• Check inlet screen: Clean any mesh or grill at the machine’s suction inlet to the recovery tank.
• Test suction at machine: With the hose removed, briefly run the machine (plugged in) to confirm strong suction at the inlet. If suction is good here, the blockage is in the hose or tools.
