Philips
Poor Suction / Recovery Path Blockage
Carpet cleaner does not pick up dirty water; carpets remain very wet after multiple passes.

Possible Causes
Clogged suction nozzle, Full or incorrectly seated dirty water tank, Blocked internal suction hose, Damaged or missing tank gasket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Philips carpet cleaner before cleaning internal parts.
- Empty and reseat dirty tank: Remove, empty, and rinse the dirty water tank. Reinstall it firmly until it clicks into place.
- Clean suction nozzle: Inspect the front suction nozzle and recovery channel for lint, hair, or debris. Use a small brush and warm water to clear blockages.
- Check tank seals: Examine the rubber gasket around the dirty tank lid and base. Replace if torn, flattened, or missing, as air leaks will reduce suction.
- Inspect suction hose: If accessible, disconnect the internal suction hose from the tank inlet and nozzle. Push a flexible brush or pipe cleaner through to remove clogs.
- Test suction: With the tank removed, briefly power on (if the design allows) and feel for suction at the inlet. If suction is strong at the motor but weak at the floorhead, the blockage is in the path between them.
