• Inspect brush roll: Remove the brush roll and spin each end cap by hand. If rough or noisy, replace the brush roll assembly.
• Check for debris: Clean the brush housing thoroughly, removing small stones or hard objects that may rattle.
• Examine gearbox: If your Philips model uses a brush gearbox, open it (if serviceable) and inspect gears for wear or missing teeth. Replace the gearbox if damaged.
• Secure motor mount: Ensure the brush motor and gearbox are firmly screwed to the housing and not vibrating loose.
