Safety first: Unplug the Philips carpet cleaner.

• Clean brush roll: Remove the brush and clear any heavy debris clumps that could unbalance it.
• Inspect wheels: Check that all wheels are present, rotate freely, and are not worn flat. Replace damaged wheels.
• Tighten fasteners: Tighten all screws securing the floorhead and handle to the main body.
• Check brush shaft: Roll the brush on a flat surface; if it wobbles, the shaft is bent and the brush roll should be replaced.
